What’s interesting to note is that OSC conveniently forgets that not every newspaper or journalist is “liberal.” And I don’t mean Faux News, either, that’s not real news. I mean real news, like the Wall Street Journal and the Chicago Tribune, to name the two most prominent conservative papers. Neither of those papers has ever had a problem slamming the Democratic Party or any member therein. Also, the opinions he’s expressing certainly aren’t new, and all of it comes from the media he’s whining about not reporting anything bad about Obama. Some conservative media, and even some liberal.

What he really means is, why isn’t ALL of the media repeatedly slamming Barack Obama and the Democratic Party and praising the virtues of McCain and Bush? He also conveniently ignores that McCain and his camp have gotten just as much money from Fannie/Freddie. And how often McCain supported deregulation. (Of course he would, free market capitalism and regulation don’t mix.) But the current economic crisis isn’t so simple that it’s “poor black people got houses they couldn’t afford because Congress said they should.” It’s an epic FAIL starting from the homeowner, going through the mortgage broker, working it’s way up through Congress and out through the shareholder. There’s plenty of blame to go around for poor judgment. A lot of it goes to government, both sides of the aisle.

I think it’s funny that there’s supposedly this “liberal bias” that prevents the media from reporting the news, when all of the things the McCain camp is crying about not being reported was reported a long time ago. This isn’t all some smoking gun, it’s been there all along.

I do understand his frustration with the media though. I mean, I felt the same way in the lead-up to the Iraq war, as in why isn’t the media critiquing this??? But in reality they were. Just no one was listening.

Oh, and I have some inside scoop on the Edwards thing… remind me to tell you about that later.

Inside scoop, eh? I’m officially reminding you to tell me about it later.

Interesting article. I wish he would cite his sources more though.

Yeah… he sort of tends to make it seem like you should take him at his word no matter what he says (like a newspaper, I suppose).
