It has been a whirlwind week and a half. Whirl of the Wind, that’s for sure.

We had a baby (Wednesday). She went to the nursery to get cleaned up for an hour, which extended to a 3 day stay in the NICU. Then she went on the bilirubin lamp to help her jaundice. During the NICU stay, our older daughter got H1N1 and passed it on to Mommy and Daddy. Fortunately my case was mild, but we had to keep older daughter away from the newborn so she didn’t get it as well.

FINALLY went home only to start a new round of issues when we got the two back together. Throw a healthy dose of anxiety into the mix, put us back on the bilirubin light and give mom some engorgement issues and it just seems like the fun never stops. We’re dreading my return to work!

We’ve been blessed with a beautiful little girl, though. The two girls really get along, though (despite the constant bickering over handwashing). I’m doubly thankful for that!
